Savings Account Products
Regular Savings
A Regular Savings account is a simple way to build savings while keeping your money accessible when you need it. With a low $50 opening deposit and competitive interest, it works well as a savings tool and as a safety net for your checking account, including the option to sweep funds if your checking account becomes overdrawn. The account allows up to 12 free withdrawals per quarter, including up to six electronic withdrawals per month as permitted by federal regulation, and there is no quarterly minimum balance charge when you maintain a daily balance of $50 or more. With an active checking or savings account, you’ll also have access to a free MasterCard® ATM/Debit Card, free Blissnet™ Online Banking, and eStatements for convenient account management.
Money Market Savings
A Money Market Savings account is designed for customers who maintain higher balances and want to earn more interest while keeping access to their funds. With tiered interest rates, unlimited deposits, and the ability to write checks, it offers flexibility beyond a traditional savings account. The account requires a $10,000 minimum opening balance and allows unlimited in-person withdrawals and transfers, with a minimum withdrawal amount of $500. There is no monthly maintenance fee when eStatements are activated and no minimum balance fee when a $10,000 balance is maintained. As required by federal regulation, certain withdrawals and transfers made electronically or by check are limited to six per statement period. With an active checking account, you’ll also have access to a free MasterCard® ATM/Debit Card, free Blissnet™ Online Banking, and eStatements.
Royal Savers
Royal Savers is a special savings program for students in first through fifth grade at Blissfield Community Schools designed to help children learn the value of saving at an early age. Through the program, students are able to make weekly deposits at school with the Royal Saver Representative from the bank, or by going to the bank. The account offers a higher interest rate, no service charges, and no minimum opening deposit. For added security, withdrawals are not permitted at school and require two signatures. The account will automatically convert to a regular savings account when the student turns 18. Each new account holder will receive a register to record deposits at home after receiving a receipt of deposit at school or the bank.
Certificates of Deposit
Certificates of Deposit (CDs) are a dependable way to earn a higher interest rate on your savings without exposure to the stock market. With low minimum opening balances, competitive rates, and a variety of term options, CDs allow you to choose the structure that best fits your goals. We offer both fixed-rate CDs, which provide a consistent rate for the entire term, and variable-rate CDs, which allow additional deposits and limited withdrawals while maintaining a minimum balance. With an active checking account, you’ll also have access to free Blissnet™ Online Banking and eStatements to help you manage your account easily.
Christmas Club Savings
Christmas Club savings accounts are special savings accounts to help individuals save for Christmas. The account requires a minimum balance of $2.00 and allows deposits through a predetermined date each year. On the designated date, funds will be distributed to individuals with Christmas Club saving accounts via cashier’s check or direct deposit. Once funds have been distributed, deposits will once again be allowed until the following year’s predetermined date. This account does not allow for personal withdrawals throughout the year.
